About Us

Shutter Bliss Photography is just us, Roger and Ciara, a married couple who love life, each other, our dog and our cameras (maybe not in that order).

We're often asked what it's like to live and work together, for us it just works. We know each others strengths and weaknesses and complement each other perfectly. We even walk the dog together (although I do wimp out in the rain). We're not stuck together at the hip, while Roger goes to football, I catch up on trash TV.

Speaking of the dog, Disley is a bit of a local celebrity being the largest dog for miles around. He's a Great Dane crossed with a Labrador who's afraid of the rain and sings along with his squeaky bone. He's a character and we love him.

We believe in capturing your memories while not fleecing your wallet. It is important to us that we deliver quality images that you will be proud of for years to come. We love that we get to see people on their best days, it makes us fall in love with you a little bit and more in love with each other. We're passionate about always striving to produce our best work, and we can sometimes get a little competitive with each other over who shot the best image.

We understand that your wedding day is about you. Like you, we want you to feel relaxed, and enjoy your day as that is how we get our best shots. Rather than an obtrusive stranger ordering you about, we will feel like old friends who happen to be recording your day with state-of-the-art equipment. We want to tell your love story.

I also love to shoot Bumps, Babies (especially newborns) and also Boudoir photography. Roger is my sherpa and lighting guru on these days. Roger loves to shoot older kids (not literally) and landscapes. Funnily enough, I don't carry his gear.

We are based in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Exeter, Taunton, Yeovil and the counties of Devon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire, and the rest of the South-West including South Wales. We're happy to come out and meet you, get to know you better and show you samples of what we do.
